Nicola Wintrich
Psychologist and Fellow Human.
I’m Nicola Wintrich (she/her), a systemic psychotherapist based in Berlin. My work is shaped by a deep trust in human resilience and the healing power of relationships, to ourselves, others, and the wider systems we move in.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent a decade working in leadership and organizational development in Europe and Asia, creating spaces where people could grow, reflect, and connect across cultures. That foundation sharpened my intuition for personal transformation, especially in complex systems, be it families, workplaces, or communities.
Working with me
as a psychotherapist
My practice is trauma-informed and strengths-based. I work a lot with inner parts (IFS), body awareness, and resources that already exist within you, even if they’ve been out of reach for a while.
As a systemic therapist, I believe that we don’t exist in isolation. So, I often include significant others in the therapeutic process, whether that’s a partner, parent, friend, colleague or chosen family member. I deeply believe in the effectiveness of group therapy as a powerful way to bring hidden patterns to light and invite healing in connection.
My work as a psychotherapist draws on experiences from the following clinical and counseling settings:
At Charité, I supported individuals with affective disorders, including severe depression, at times in combination with ketamine-assisted therapy
In the ISTB outpatient clinic in Berlin-Kreuzberg, I offered individual, group, and family therapy in both English and German, integrating somatic, systemic, and hypnosystemic methods
Currently at Xenion, a center for refugees and politically persecuted people, I focus on trauma therapy and stabilization, working closely with interpreters and interdisciplinary teams with a focus on couple’s and family therapy
as a coach and facilitator
With a background in psychology, systemic therapy, and design thinking—and over a decade of experience in leadership development across Europe and Asia—I bring a warm and curious presence. Whether it's a one-on-one coaching session, a team workshop, a Development Center, or a global leadership summit, my approach is both intuitive and intentional: balancing reflection with action, structure with spaciousness, and inner clarity with courageous experimentation.
I draw on my experience partnering with clients across industries—from pharmaceuticals and automotive, to renewable energy and e-commerce—always meeting people where they are, and supporting them in moving toward where they want to be.

What matters
I offer a space that honors the complexity of your experiences and identities: A space that is explicitly affirming to LGBTQIA+ clients, queer and trans individuals, and people from multicultural or migratory backgrounds. I have experience working with translators in therapy settings and am open to conducting therapy through professional interpretation when needed.
This work is deeply meaningful to me. I believe that healing is political, relational, and deeply personal. I believe when we heal, we don’t just feel better. We become more free to be ourselves, with all our parts.
